Overview

Charlot Biosciences (cbio.io) is operated by Charlot Biosciences. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (almost none) and how we handle it.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. Specifically:

  • No cookies are set or read
  • No analytics or tracking scripts are used
  • No user accounts or login systems exist
  • No forms collect personal information
  • No advertising networks are present
  • No third-party scripts are loaded

AI Assistant

This site includes an AI assistant that runs entirely in your browser using WebLLM technology. The AI model is downloaded to your device and all processing happens locally. No conversations, prompts, or responses are sent to any server. Your interactions with the AI assistant are completely private.

Fonts & Assets

All fonts and assets are self-hosted on our servers. No requests are made to Google Fonts, CDNs, or any other third-party services. This means your IP address is never shared with external font or asset providers.

Server Logs

Our web server may automatically log standard access information (IP address, page requested, timestamp, browser type) as part of normal server operation. These logs are used solely for security monitoring and are not shared with any third party. They are retained for no more than 30 days.

External Links

This site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external site you visit.

Your Rights

Under regulations including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to:

  • Know what personal data we collect (we collect none)
  • Request deletion of your personal data (there is none to delete)
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal data (we do not sell any data)

Since we do not collect, store, or process any personal data, these rights are satisfied by default.

Children’s Privacy

This site does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (COPPA) or 16 (GDPR). Since we collect no personal data from any visitor, this requirement is met by default.
